Stark Infra offers total control over the transaction authorization process. This means your company can decide, in real time, whether a card purchase will be approved or declined, based on its own rules.
- Authorization Webhook: Configure a URL to receive events about attempted card usage and respond with the decision to approve or deny.
- Event Webhooks: Receive notifications for events such as approval, reversal, blocking, cancellation, and others.
- Transaction Logs: Access the complete usage history of each card with details like date, amount, merchant, and geolocation (when available).
How Transaction Authorization Works
When a purchase is initiated with one of your issued cards, Stark immediately sends an HTTP request to the authorization URL you registered.
This request contains all the relevant data about the purchase attempt, such as:
- Card ID
- Transaction amount
- Currency
- Merchant details (MCC, name, country)
- Fraud risk score
- Transaction type (purchase, withdrawal, etc.)
- Attempt date and time
You can analyze this information and decide whether to authorize or refuse the transaction. The response must be sent quickly (within a few seconds), following the format specified in the documentation:
This architecture allows your company to implement its own business rules and antifraud systems, such as:
- Restrictions by time of day or day of the week
- Permission to use only in certain countries or categories
- Validation with a proprietary risk engine
- Checking internal balance or corporate budget
If you do not respond to the request within the time limit, the transaction will be automatically denied.
In addition to the authorization Webhook, you can also configure other Webhooks to track events such as:
- Purchase approved or denied
- Transaction reversal
- Card block
- Cancellation
All events are recorded in Stark's logs, with both technical and commercial details.
Focus on your business, while we take care of your financial infrastructure.
